VIRTUAL AGAIN
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided to, once again, organize this year’s Peace Trot as a virtual or run-on-your-own event with a new twist!

A NEW TWIST
In addition to running on your own, there will be 4 group runs/informal races at Cass Park (June 19 & 20 at 9am) and the Cornell Arboretum (June 12 & 13 at 9am). These are informal group runs, but for those who want to race and test their speed, we will have make-shift bibs and a volunteer timer with stopwatch recording times! Please indicate your interest in joining one of these runs when you register and then, after completing registration including payment, go to the GROUP RUN page on the main menu to select a day to run with a group. To maintain COVID safety, we are limiting each run to 15 people. Please bring a face covering for wearing whenever you're not running, and maintain 6 feet distance whenever possible.

RAISING FUNDS
Our fundraising goal this year is $15,000 which will provide much-needed support for the Ithaca Catholic Worker mission. You can help us raise those funds in 2 ways...
1. Give a $25 or more donation at registration to receive a t-shirt.
2. We are also encouraging all trotters to ask people you know - family, friends, co-workers, neighbors -  to SPONSOR your trot. Just think, if you recruit 10 people to sponsor you for just $10 each, you’ll raise $100!

 5 easy steps to trotting...
     1. REGISTER (online only) & donate online or by check. Please register even if you only want
          a T-shirt.
     2. Ask friends and family to sponsor you.
     3. Pick up your t-shirt (at a soon to be disclosed spot!)
     4. Complete a 5K (3.1 miles) or 1 mile trot anytime between Friday June 11th -
          Sunday June 20
OR join one of four in-person, informal group runs (see above)
     5. Post photos and reflections of your trot on our SHARE YOUR TROT! page. If you are timing
          yourself, post that too!

Get your t-shirt!
1. PICK IT UP!
For folks who have registered and live in the Ithaca area, we will be handing out t-shirts at the Ithaca Catholic Worker house (411 South Plain Street) next week on...
  • Wednesday, June 9, 5pm - 7pm
  • Thursday, June 10, 5pm - 7pm
  • Friday, June 11, 5pm - 7pm
  • Saturday, June 12, 9am - 11am
If we don't see you next week when you pick up your t-shirt, we will be in touch about getting your t-shirt to you another way or another time!

2. RECEIVE IT IN THE MAIL!
For folks who live far away, we will be mailing you your t-shirt!
