Thank you for registering for the Peter De Mott Peace trot and for your registration donation! Proceeds of the Peace Trot go to support the Peter De Mott Catholic Worker House and the Ithaca Catholic Worker (ICW) community's mission of engaging in the works of mercy and nonviolently confronting the works of war. We have set our fundraising goal at $15,000 this year. Thank you in advance for helping us reach that goal!
HOW ARE WE DOING THIS IN THE TIME OF COVID?
Because the PDPT is going virtual this year, registration is only available online. This year, we are requesting all donations at the time of registration. That is, pay online or put a check in the mail immediately upon completing registration. For more information on how to trot, race, run, walk, stroll, skip, mosey,or saunter, please see our HOW WILL THIS WORK? page.
WHAT ABOUT THE REGISTRATION DONATION?
Please give generously in the spirit of "paying for what it is worth"! A minimum donation of $25 covers the cost of a t-shirt plus some money for the ICW. (For local folks, T-shirts will delivered to you. We will mail T-shirts to folks who live out-of-town.)
If you are part of a family of 5 or more people (including children) please consider a donation of at least $100. If that feels hard, please pay what you can. We would appreciate it if you register each member of your family group separately, however, only one registrant needs to submit a payment.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the Peter De Mott Peace Trot regardless of your ability to pay. Please let us know if you need a scholarship by emailing us at peacetrot@gmail.com.
WE ARE ALSO ASKING PEACE TROT PARTICIPANTS TO RECRUIT SPONSORS FOR THEMSELVES!
We are encouraging all trotters to ask people you know to sponsor your trot. Just think, if you recruit 10 people to sponsor you for just $10 each, you’ll raise $100!
Sponsors can pay online on our SPONSOR A TROTTER! page OR sponsors can mail us a check. If your sponsor gives you cash, we would appreciate it if you would pay that amount online (on the SPONSOR A TROTTER! page) or write a check in that amount and mail it to us. Then, pay yourself back with the cash!
WE ARE AWARDING 6 PRIZES THIS YEAR!
This year, We are giving one prize each to the top 3 fundraisers. Additionally, just for registering, your name will be put in a raffle to be one of three lucky winners of a $75 gift card each. See the PRIZES page for more information.
